POSITION: PROGRAMME LEAD

REPORTING TO: CEO

LOCATION: Carndonagh

CLOSING DATE: *th June *

The Programme Lead will be responsible for planning and implementing a
range of activities and programmes within the Spraoi Workability
Empowerment Programme (SWEP) Spraoi agus Spórt on a day-to-day basis.

They will be responsible for liaising with at least **Apply on the
website** employers, organising 9 annual events and manage the
Personal Progression Plan Coordinator who will have responsibility for
managing the initiatives in the plans of up to **Apply on the
website** people with disabilities. People with disabilities are
defined as persons with long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or
sensory impairments. Partnership with service users, statutory groups,
tutors, facilitators, training institutions, and other staff team
members is expected. The Programme Co-ordinator will be accountable to
the CEO of Spraoi agus Spórt.

The role is for *.5 hours per week

This role is funded through Pobal under the WorkAbility Programme

Spraoi agus Spórt Family Centre CLG. (Spraoi) is a
multi-award-winning and leading social enterprise located in
Carndonagh, Co. Donegal. We exist because we believe that everyone

DEVELOPMENT OF THE CENTRE

* Plan and implement a range of activities and programmes within the
Spraoi Workability Empowerment Programme (SWEP).
* Manage the engagement with * employers
ranging in industries to include retail, engineering, software
development, agriculture, social enterprises, and voluntary groups.
* Manage the Personal Progression Plan Coordinator, and the various
trainers.

* Develop and arrange a variety of initiatives to include:

* Targeted Vocational Training and Skill-Building Courses which are
flexible
* Employer Partnership and Job Placement Programme
* Personal Progression Plans
* Job placements
* Job share programmes
* Entrepreneurial Skills Training and Self-Employment Support
* Community Partnership and Volunteering Programme
* Career exploration and matching programme
* Adaptive Skills Training Modules
* Job Readiness Bootcamp
* Project Based Learning Capsules
* Mentoring Programme
* Integrated Partnership Programmes

* Develop and manage an annual calendar of events and workshops to
include:

* Skills Discovery Workshops
* Skills Diversification Workshops
* Soft Skills Workshops
* Job Networking Events
* Job Readiness Workshops
* Stakeholder Collaboration Forums
* Employer Engagement and Sensitisation Workshops
* Disability Job Fairs and Skill Showcases

* Programmes and training opportunities are introduced in the in
response to user feedback, and that all new classes organised are
advertised fully within the community.
* All user files are confidential and should be stored in a locked
file.
* Continuously aim to improve the quality of the service. This will
be done with other staff members with support from the management.
* Any other duties that may be assigned by the management.

ADMINISTRATION

* Ensure the database is kept up to date on each user including
details such as contact details of parents/guardians, medical issues,
allergies, dietary requirements etc.
* Ensure that all suggestions for classes by service users and the
community are investigated and organised were appropriate and
feasible.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of classes and activities using
surveys, questionnaires, interviews and by observation, to plan for
future programmes or to amend existing ones.
* Provide information for reporting as required

COMMUNICATION

* Involve stakeholders in the design and management of the SWEP
* Ensure stakeholders are fully informed of services policies and
any developments.
* Ensure all programmes are communicated as widely as possible to
service users and the wider community.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

* Work with the CEO to ensure that the service is operating to the
standard and above of the Pobal Regulations.
* Ensure that the first aid box is always fully stocked and
accessible.
* Be aware of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Safety
Statement, and its contents
* Ensure that the environment is safe and free from hazardous
conditions for both the users and other staff members.
* Ensure that management is informed of health and safety concerns
for them to rectify.

QUALIFICATIONS

* A third level Health and Social care qualification. - _Desirable_

EXPERIENCE

* At least 4 years’ experience gained as part of the programme
leadfunction in a busy environment. - _Essential_
* Experience of planning, implementing, and reviewing programmes for
individuals with a disability. - _Essential_

SKILLS

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - _Essential_
* Demonstrated leadership and change management skills witha
continuous improvement focus.  _Essential_
* Must be highly organised, forward-thinking and strategy driven. -

* Possess an excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - _Essential_
* Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures. -
